Jona is a compassionate family lawyer who has experience working in national law firms prior to joining the Collective Family Law Group in January 2020.
She was born in Melbourne and moved to the Gold Coast in 2012 to complete her Bachelor of Laws at Bond University. After returning to Melbourne in 2016, she gained experience working in a national law firm working primarily within family law but also in areas of criminal, traffic and immigration law. After realising her strong passion for family law, she joined an ASX-listed national family law firm in June 2018.
Jona returned to the Gold Coast in August 2019 where she worked with two Accredited Family Law Specialists in Brisbane. She has gained experience working with Senior Family Lawyers in Melbourne, Brisbane and now the Gold Coast. She is passionate about delivering the best possible outcome for each client, while also being mindful of the stress, cost and impact a separation has on not only the client but their family as well.
Jona was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in 2017. She is experienced in all aspects of Family Law including property settlements, parenting matters, divorce applications as well as domestic violence. She has appeared on behalf of clients at the Magistrates’ Court and Federal Circuit Court of Australia, both in Victoria and Queensland.
Outside of family law, Jona enjoys spending time with her partner, chocolate lab Penny, family and friends.
