Kirsten is a dedicated family lawyer who combines legal expertise with compassion to guide her clients through some of life’s most challenging moments. Known for her calm, thoughtful approach, she is committed to delivering practical, cost-effective solutions that help individuals and families move forward with confidence.
Kirsten completed her law degree at James Cook University in sunny Cairns, graduating in 2008. After a term as a Local Government Councillor, she went on to complete her Diploma of Legal Practice at the Australian National University. In 2013, she was admitted as a solicitor in both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Kirsten began her legal career in a generalist law firm, gaining experience in a wide range of areas including wills and estates, contract law, and employment law. However, it was her work with families during this time that truly resonated with her. Recognising the deep and lasting impact family law has on people’s lives, Kirsten made the decision to specialise in this area— motivated by a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate separation, parenting disputes, and other challenging family law matters.
Kirsten’s own experience of navigating separation while raising two young children has given her a deep empathy for the emotional and practical challenges her clients face. She brings this insight to every case, offering steady guidance and strong advocacy with a personal touch.
When she’s not working, Kirsten enjoys getting outdoors for long walks with her dogs, curling up with a good book, and spending quality time with her two children.
